About Plumbing Circle

An Experienced, Owner-Operated West London Plumbing Service

My name is Laurent Claude, and I am the owner and plumber behind Plumbing Circle. Based in W11, I provide mobile plumbing repairs, maintenance and installation services throughout West London.

With over 35 years of hands-on plumbing experience, I have worked on everything from everyday leaks, taps and toilets to difficult shower-valve faults and hard-to-identify internal components.

When you contact Plumbing Circle, you deal directly with me—from the initial conversation and diagnosis through to completing and testing the repair

A Personal and Practical Plumbing Service

Plumbing Circle is an owner-operated plumbing service, not a national call centre or a company that sends an unknown engineer to your property.

I believe customers should understand what has gone wrong, what can realistically be repaired and what the available options are. Before recommending complete replacement, I carefully investigate whether the problem can be resolved by repairing or replacing the faulty internal component.

Every property and plumbing installation is different. My approach is to assess the actual fault, explain the likely cause and recommend a practical solution based on the condition of the fitting and the availability of suitable replacement parts.

Specialist Cartridge and Component Identification

One of Plumbing Circle’s principal specialist services is identifying and replacing cartridges and internal components inside taps, shower valves, bath mixers and bath shower mixers.

These components are not always easy to identify. Different cartridges can appear almost identical while having different measurements, threads, seals, spindle arrangements or internal functions. Older fittings may have no visible brand name, and the original component may have been discontinued.

I regularly investigate and replace:

• Thermostatic and temperature-control cartridges
• Ceramic-disc tap cartridges
• Shower flow-control and on/off cartridges
• Diverter cartridges
• Traditional tap valves and headworks
• Concealed shower-valve components
• Toilet flush and filling valves
• Seals, O-rings and other replaceable internal parts

Where necessary, the faulty component can be carefully removed, measured and identified before the correct replacement is sourced and installed.

Repairing the Faulty Part Before Replacing Everything

A dripping tap, unreliable shower or continuously running toilet does not always require the complete fitting to be replaced.

Where the original fitting remains serviceable and the correct component is available, replacing the worn cartridge, valve, seal or operating mechanism can often provide a less disruptive and more economical solution.

This repair-first approach can help:

• Preserve high-quality or matching bathroom fittings
• Avoid unnecessary disturbance to tiles and finished surfaces
• Reduce the cost and disruption of complete replacement
• Extend the useful life of an existing installation
• Prevent usable plumbing components from being unnecessarily discarded

Plumbing Circle concentrates on plumbing and does not undertake regulated gas or boiler work. Enquiries involving gas appliances should always be handled by an appropriately registered Gas Safe engineer.
